Continuity through pregnancy
Shared maternity care allows eligible patients to receive much of their pregnancy care from an accredited GP while remaining connected with their participating maternity hospital.
Consultations may include routine antenatal checks, test coordination, health advice, preparation for birth and postnatal follow-up. Dr Radhika Sheorey and Dr Claire Veith have particular experience in this area. Eligibility and the appropriate care pathway depend on individual circumstances and hospital requirements.

Claire has worked as a GP since 2000. She trained at the University of Melbourne, Austin Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital and The Northern Hospital, and holds a Diploma of Obstetrics. She enjoys getting to know patients and families over time.

Radhika graduated from Deakin University in 2012 and developed her experience at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital before moving into general practice.
